Seán Leo McGoldrick is a major injury doubt for Derry’s Ulster Championship opener against Tyrone on May 22

DERRY may be without as many as three of their Coleraine contingent for next weekend’s Championship opener against Tyrone.

The experienced Seán Leo McGoldrick is the most high-profile injury concern as he has had a hamstring problem which appears to be serious enough to rule him out of the Celtic Park clash.

Ciaran Mullan has also suffered the same injury while full-back and midfield option Niall Holly broke his nose in a training match with the county, and has only had it set earlier this week.

Coleraine manager Sean McGoldrick told Gaelic Life that he was unsure if Seán Leo or Mullan would play any part – however, he felt that Niall Holly has a good chance of recovering in time.

The only other Coleraine player on the panel is Liam McGoldrick and he is ready to start, while Declan Mullan has dropped off the Derry panel.
