Ulster GAA Gaeltacht set for return after Covid enforced haitus

TÁ Cúrsa Gaeltachta CLG Uladh, Cúrsa de Faoite sna Dúnaibh, ar ais i mbliana den chéad uair ó bhí 2019 ann. Táimid dóchasach go mbeidh cúrsa den chéad scoth againn in 2022 agus muid uilig bailithe sna Dúnaibh arís.

Ulster GAA’s flagship Gaeltacht course for adult learners, Cúrsa de Faoite, is back in 2022 for the first time since 2019 and the emergence of Covid-19. We are looking forward to welcoming attendees, both old and new, to Downings, Dún na nGall this July.

Is féidir iarratas a líonadh isteach anois. Thig sin a dhéanamh ar líne www.ulstergaa.ieculture, nó is féidir teagmháil a dhéanamh le tricia.nichearra.ulster@gaa.ie. You can fill in the registration form now online, or by contacting Oifigeach Gaeilge CLG Uladh.

Beidh ceithre rang ar fáil – bunrang, meánrang íochtarach agus uachtarach agus ardrang. Beidh imeachtaí oíche againn chomh maith – léacht an chúrsa, ceolchoirm, dinnéar mór an chúrsa agus go leor eile nach iad!

The course will consist of four class levels – beginner, lower and higher intermediate and advanced. Plenty of evening activities will also be available to our attendees: concert, course lecture and welcome evening banquet and lots more!

Tá sé de rún againn imeachtaí lae a shocrú chomh maith. Beidh deis ag foghlaimeoirí an chúrsa dul go Rann na Feirste ar thuras béaloidis, ar shiúlóid trí Ghaeilge thart fán cheantar, agus deis acu an Ghaeilge atá foghlamtha acu ar an chúrsa a chleachtadh ag seisiún comhrá.

The organisers will also provide day-time events for attendees. Our learners will be able to visit Rann na Feirste to hear some first-hand folklore, take part in a walking tour of the area, and practice the Gaeilge they have learned outside of class time during our conversation sessions.

Cuirimid in iúl dár mbaill a d’fhreastail ar an chúrsa seo roimhe go bhfuil roinnt athruithe curtha i bhfeidhm againn i mbliana agus muid ag athsheoladh an chúrsa. Ní bheidh an cúrsa saor in aisce as seo amach, sin ráite, tá lacáiste ar fáil dár mbaill, do mhic léinn agus do theaghlaigh ag teacht ó aon teach amháin. Táimid sásta sin a phlé libh agus sibh ag cur isteach ar áit.

Previous attendees are asked to note that this course is being relaunched with some changes to the previous structure. Cúrsa de Faoite is no longer free to attend, but discounted rates are available for GAA members, students and families attending with more than one member from one household.
