Ulster University into Sigerson quarter-final with win in Tralee

Ulster University have qualified for the Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup Quarter-Final with a gutsy five point win over IT Tralee in Tralee.

The hosts who were without David Clifford who continues to recover from shoulder surgery conducted late 2018.

Tralee led by three at the break after playing with a stiff breeze in the first half on a scoreline of 0-7 to 0-4.

In the second half Mayo’s Patrick Durcan led the Belfast’s side charge netting a vital goal. Mark O’Shea hit a late major for the hosts which proved to be a mere consolation as they fell to a five point defeat.
