ULSTER rivals Derry and Down have been kept apart in the semi-finals of the All-Ireland U-20 B hurling championship next weekend.
The Oakleafers were 3-21 to 1-8 winners over Donegal on Wednesday night at Owenbeg with Down seeing off Wicklow (3-26 to 1-12) on Sunday thanks to an impressive display from Finn Turpin
Derry now take Mayo with a goal-hungry Roscommon overcoming Tyrone to setup a clash with Down.
Mayo defeated Armagh 1-16 to 2-6 in the first quarter-final on Saturday.
Down saw off Derry after penalties last season before going on to win the title, with Derry going down to Meath in 2021.
Semi-Finals (Saturday, April 15)
Derry v Mayo (Kingspan Breffni 1pm) – Followed by Tyrone v Cavan Ulster MFC at 3pm
Down v Roscommon (Dowdallshill 2pm)
Both games will be played at neutral venues with the CCC yet to finalise the fixture details.
