Social Camogie is a game-changer in how we think about sports and participation. At its heart, the program emphasises the importance of fitness, connection and enjoyment. Unlike traditional camogie, which often involves intense competition, the Social Camogie initiative creates an environment that focuses on participation and socializing.

Ulster has seen a growing interest in Social Camogie, with new teams forming every month. The Ulster Camogie blitz events provide an excellent opportunity for these teams to play together and showcase the relaxed yet exciting nature of the sport. These monthly blitz events are at the heart of the initiative ensuring that the teams remain active and engaged while creating more opportunities for social interaction.

The most recent blitz in Belfast saw teams from Antrim, Tyrone, and Down come together to celebrate the social side of camogie.

Looking ahead, the next blitz will be held in Magherafelt on March 22 and it promises to be another exciting event where players can come together, enjoy the game, and celebrate the sport in a relaxed atmosphere.
