LOCAL firm McKeever Sports has been unveiled as the first jersey sponsor of the Ulster GAA Rounders team.

 The sportswear manufacturers have supplied the squad with a new set of jerseys and shorts, which were unveiled at the recent Inter-Provincial Tournament in Abbottstown.

Ulster defeated Connacht in their opening game, but just lost out to reigning champions Leinster in the decider.

This year saw four new clubs being represented in the black and amber panel, a sure indication of the growth that GAA Rounders has undergone in recent years. This upsurge has resulted in Ulster now fielding four times as many teams than before.

Ulster Ard Comhairle Delegate Rounders, Anna Bradley commented:

“It is great to see so many new Rounders teams starting up within the province and across the country. There is now wider range of players on the provincial team and with this new sponsorship from McKeever’s, the Ulster GAA Rounders has been given a new lease of life.”
