THE 2020 Ulster Minor Football Championship will revert back to a knock-out format while a number of other competitions have tonight been cancelled following an Ulster GAA meeting tonight.
Following a meeting of the province’s CCC by teleconference, the Ulster Club Leagues, the Buncrana Cup and the Jim McGuigan Cup were cancelled.
The Ulster Minor Championship, due to start with the meeting of Derry and Cavan this weekend, has been postponed until further notice. When, or if, it does take place, there will no longer be a backdoor in place.
Further to that, the original draw has been cancelled with the fixtures now mirroring the Ulster Senior Championship with the games acting as possible curtain-raisers.
Ulster GAA made no statement on the Ulster Senior Championship except to reiterate a GAA statement earlier today that said that inter-county action is unlikely to resume before July.
