Conor ‘Doogie’ Foy – grew up watching him, played under him at underage and now playing alongside him. Always gives it everything and he brings great spirit to the Tempo team.

A toss-up between Ryan Breen and Lorcan McStravick. Guaranteed to finish with a few disco weights.

Which team-mate is the worst to train with and why?

Aidan Breen. Bluffing, distracting, cutting corners – it’s all there.

Which team-mate do you want to mark in training and why?

Enjoy marking Fintan Canavan of Bryansford. Lived with him for a few years now, always nice to come home from training with bragging rights.

Which team-mate do you dread marking in training and why?

Sean McCarthy. Constant contact, fit and fast enough to follow you everywhere and takes pride in defending and keeping you quiet.

Best score you’ve seen from a team-mate?

Conor Turbitt’s point from a sideline against NUIG last year. Almost followed it up with another five minutes later.

What win has your team celebrated the most?

This year’s ‘Belclassico’ win against UU was very well celebrated in numerous bars and nightclubs around the city.

Oran Mallon – professional confabulator and all in all a great conversationalist.

Which club is the worst for journeys away?

Devenish St. Mary’s, other end of the county.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve heard in training or in a match, and who said it?

I’ll give that one to myself from when we played UU in the Ryan Cup last year. We were up by a point, or so I thought, and the referee blew the full-time whistle. I let a roar out of me only to find out the game ended in a draw.

What’s the worst excuse you’ve heard to get out of training?

As co-manager with Tempo senior ladies, I have heard a few good ones. Unable to train because my sheep had maggots was up there. To be fair, concrete proof was posted into the group a few hours later.

Which team-mate is the loudest in the changing room?

Aidan Breen, full of divilment.

Which team-mate would you want standing over a last-second penalty?

Luke Donnelly (Eglish).

Which team-mate would you never want to see hitting a last-second penalty?

Luke Donnelly – he isn’t good for the nerves.

Probably Fintan Canavan, as he is home by midnight.
