ANTRIM SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

Cargin v Portglenone

Sunday, Corrigan Park, 3pm

CARGIN have been the form team in Antrim and are going for an eighth title in the last decade whereas Portglenone, in their first final since 2009, await their first. The Casements have lost five semi-finals on the trot but had the persistence to keep coming back. An interesting clash of experience versus a fresh challenger.

Verdict: Cargin

ANTRIM INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL
CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

All Saints v St Teresa’s

Saturday, Cargin, 4pm

ANTON Taylor’s goal put St Teresa’s on the way to victory over Sarsfields in the semi-final while All-Saints were winners against Division Two champions St Paul’s. The Ballymena men finished third in the top division of the league and go into this decider as favourites.

Verdict: All Saints

ANTRIM JUNIOR FOOTBALL FINAL

St Comgall’s v St Agnes’

Saturday, Naomh Éanna, 1.30pm

AFTER winning all their league and championship games, St Comgalls’ go into the season’s biggest game as favourites. Ronan Carroll and Cormac McBride have been the key men for the Aggies but they’ll need the biggest performance of the season. St Comgall’s had a bit to spare when the sides met in the league.

Verdict: St Comgall’s

ANTRIM SENIOR CAMOGIE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

Dunloy v Loughgiel

Sunday, Cushendall, 3pm

BOTH teams won a game each in the league but six goals were the key as the Shamrocks overturned Dunloy in the group stages. Loughgiel are going for an 11th title in succession and regularly challenging on the Ulster and All-Ireland stages. Dunloy were winners over Cushendall in the semi-final but this is a bigger test.

Verdict: Loughgiel

ANTRIM INTERMEDIATE CAMOGIE
CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

loughgiel  v Ahoghill

Saturday, Portglenone, 3pm

AHOGHILL were comfortable winners in the group stages but this will be a different story. Orlagh Laverty and Ceala Dobbin hit goals in Loughgiel’s semi-final win over Dunloy. This one will be tight.

Verdict: Ahoghill

ANTRIM JUNIOR CAMOGIE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

Ballycastle v St Paul’s

Saturday, Rasharkin, 12noon

ST Paul’s booked their final spot with victory over St John’s on Monday night. They were comfortable winners over Ballycastle in the group stages. The momentum might be enough to take the title.

Verdict: St Paul’s

ARMAGH JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

COLLEGELAND V AN PORT MOR

Sunday, BOX-IT Athletic Grounds, 4pm

IT’S derby day in Armagh this Sunday as Collegeland and An Port Mor lock horns in the Junior Championship final. Collegeland will be favourites to take home the prize, but they certainly won’t get anything easy off their old rivals.

Verdict: Collegeland

ARMAGH JUNIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL REPLAY

SEAN TREACY’S V CUCHULAINNS II

Sunday, BOX-IT Athletic Grounds, 1.30pm

SEAN Treacy’s needed a late free to earn themselves a replay the last day out but were marginally the better team. The Lurgan side have been here and done it in recent years and that experience should guide them across the line.

Verdict: Sean Treacy’s

CAVAN INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

BUTLERSBRIDGE V ARVA

Sunday, Kingspan Breffni, 4pm

ARVA got it right at the second time of asking as they fended off a strong Cuchulainn’s team to clinch a spot in the Intermediate final. Last year’s All-Ireland Junior Champions have been in excellent form but so have Butlersbridge, who finished strongly to edge a titanic tussle against Denn. Arva haven’t lost a championship game since 2022 and they can continue that sequence but it’ll be tight.

Verdict: Arva

CAVAN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

KNOCKBRIDE V BELTURBET

Saturday, Kingspan Breffni, 6pm

KNOCKBRIDE were the name on everybody’s lips before a ball was thrown-in, but they certainly haven’t had it all their own way as they’ve made it back to a second successive final. This time last year they lost out to eventual All-Ireland winners Arva so they’ll want to put that one to bed when they take on Belturbet on Sunday. It won’t be easy – Belturbet have shown they’ve much more than a one-man show despite the undoubted talent and leadership of Enda Henry, but maybe this is Knockbride’s time.

Verdict: Knockbride

DERRY SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINALS

Magherafelt v Newbridge

Saturday, Owenbeg, 8.15pm

LAST year Newbridge didn’t as much as raise a gallop when the sides met. They’re back stronger this season with Conor Doherty again leading the charge. Rossa will be without Conor McCluskey and Odhrán Lynch. Eoin McEvoy will be back but they’ll need an improvement on their quarter-final win.

Verdict: Newbridge

Glen v Slaughtneil

Sunday, Owenbeg, 2pm

THERE was little between them last season and little will change when they meet in Ulster’s biggest game. Sleacht Néill’s win in the group stages is irrelevant given the men the Watties were missing. Mark Doran’s side have been marginally ahead since. Ciaran McFaul has been missing for Glen. How much, if anything, he can offer will be vital. We won’t know until Sunday.

Verdict: Sleacht Néill

DERRY INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL
CHAMPIONSHIP QUARTER-FINALS

Drumsurn v Faughanvale

Saturday, Owenbeg, 6.15pm

BOTH teams head into Sunday on the back of impressive performances in their quarter-finals. Both are finely tuned. It would take a brave man to put a substantial sum of money on this one. If Drumsurn can fully utilise Cathair Friel like they have been doing, it might just swing it. Toss of a coin here.

Verdict: Drumsurn

Ballinderry v Banagher

Sunday, Owenbeg, 2pm

THE Shamrocks were winners when they clashed in the group stages. Banagher had a tough quarter-final win over Coleraine. Ballinderry’s early goals put them in a winning position to topple Glenullin. If it counts for anything, Ballinderry have been more consistent. It won’t matter. It’s all about Sunday.

Verdict: Ballinderry

DERRY JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

Craigbane v Ballymaguigan

Saturday, Celtic Park, 3pm

A MEETING of the last two winners. Craigbane eased past Craigbane whereas the ‘Quigan needed a combined 2-6 from Tomás Brady and Ciaran McIvor to see off an improving Lissan. Craigbane won when the sides met in the 2022 semi-final. Their younger legs, an easier quarter-final and an extra two days of recovery is a factor here.

Verdict: Craigbane

DONEGAL SENIOR FOOTBALL FINAL

St Eunan’s v Dungloe

Sunday, MacCumhaill Park, 4pm

THE Letterkenny men were winners in 2021 and have accounted for Naomh Conaill on the way to another decider. For Dungloe, it’s a first final since 1964 and they have made progress from winning the intermediate title in recent seasons. A tight game in prospect.

VERDICT: St Eunan’s

DOWN SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

KILCOO V BURREN

Sunday, Páirc Esler, 3pm

THERE is no doubt about it, these are the best two teams in the county, but Burren are the second placed team at the minute. They lost last year’s final to the same opposition, so closing that gap  will be the target, but Kilcoo are still the team to beat.

Verdict: Kilcoo

DOWN INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL
CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

DRUMGATH V CLANN NA BANNA

Saturday, Páirc Esler, 6pm

THESE two sides both beat Rostrevor in the championship, who had reached the previous two finals, so they look evenly matched. It’s going to go down to the wire and really is a toss of a coin, although Clann na Banna may just have the edge.

Verdict: Clann na Banna

DOWN JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

DROMARA V AUGHLISNAFIN

Friday, Páirc Esler, 7.15pm

WHEN these sides met in the opening round of the championship, Dromara were handsome winners. Aughlisnafin have improved since then and have a few men back from injury, but Dromara should be too strong once again.

Prediction: Dromara

DOWN SENIOR CAMOGIE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

CLONDUFF V PORTAFERRY

Saturday, Kilclief, 2.30pm

CLONDUFF remain the team to beat in the Mourne County and show absolutely no signs of slowing down either. They were huge 14-points winners over Ballygalget in the semi-final and will once again hope to be crowned champions.

Verdict: Clonduff

DOWN INTERMEDIATE CAMOGIE
CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

ATTICALL V BREDAGH

Saturday, Dromora, 12noon

DESPITE conceding three goals the last day out against Kilclief, Attical made it through to the decider with the one-point to spare. Bredagh got over Aghaderg to set up the finale and with home advantage, Attical may just get over the line.

Verdict: Attical

FERMANAGH JUNIOR FOOTBALL
CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

AGHADRUMSEE V NEWTOWNBUTLER

Sunday, Roslea, 2pm

IT’S no big surprise that these two teams have made it to the Junior final. They’ve met already in this year’s championship – Newtownbutler coming out on top in a quarter-final clash on a scoreline of 3-12 to 2-9. Aghadrumsee have lost the last two finals, including a narrow 2022 defeat to Newtownbutler, and it’ll take something special if they’re to make it third time lucky.

Verdict: Newtownbutler

MONAGHAN SENIOR FOOTBALL
CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL

CLONTIBRET V BALLYBAY

Sunday, Clones, 2pm

BALLYBAY had to come through a fierce contest with Latton last weekend and the extra time may just play on their legs a little. Clontibret on the other hand are coming in fresh and that should leave them as favourites to get the job done.

Verdict: Clontibret

SCOTSTOWN V INNISKEEN

Sunday, Clones, 3.45pm

SCOTSTOWN remain the kingpins in the Farney County and are only getting stronger, with the return of Darren and Kieran Hughes in recent weeks. Inniskeen will hope to make amends for last year’s final defeat, but this looks like a step too far.

Verdict: Scotstown

MONAGHAN INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL

CARRICKMACROSS V TRUAGH

Saturday, Clontibret, 4pm

THESE two sides have already clashed in the group stages of the championship, and that round three draw gives an indication of how close this is going to be. It will be decided on fine margins and Truagh may just get over the line.

Verdict: Truagh

MAGHERACLOONE V CASTLEBLAYNEY

Saturday, Inniskeen, 7pm

MAGHERACLOONE have been in flying form throughout the championship and they topped their group with three wins from three. ‘Blayney have only tasted defeat once in the campaign, which makes for an interesting matchup.

Verdict: Magheracloone

MONAGHAN SENIOR FOOTBALL
CHAMPIONSHIP RELEGATION ROUND TWO

CREMARTIN V KILLANNY

Saturday, Cremartin, 4pm

CREMARTIN opened their account with an away day victory over Donaghmoyne in the opening round of the relegation group. Killanny are really up against it and Cremartin should have a bit to spare this weekend.

Verdict: Cremartin

AUGHNAMULLEN V DONAGHMOYNE

Saturday, Aughnamullen, 4pm

DONAGHMOYNE have yet to earn a single win in the entire championship and an away trip to Aughnamullen doesn’t bode well for them. Aughnamullen have only one win under their belts and will be keen to make it two from two and take one step closer towards safety.

Verdict: Aughnamullen

TYRONE INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL REPLAY

GREENCASTLE V MOY

Friday, Omagh, 7.30pm

IT looked like Greencastle’s chances of reaching the final had slipped away only for Conor Carson to pop up with a last-gasp goal to send this game to a replay. Arguably they were the better team on the first day out, though the Moy were slightly more efficient up front in a forgettable, low-scoring game. Tough to call. Maybe Greencastle will advance to the final.

Verdict: Greencastle

TYRONE JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

AGHALOO V KILLEESHIL

Sunday, O’Neill’s Healy Park, 3.30pm

THIS has the potential to be a cracker. Both teams are thoroughly deserving of their place in the final, having played some brilliant football en route, and it’s very hard to pick a winner. Aghaloo have had a few near-misses in recent years but they came good when it mattered in their semi-final win over Glenelly. Killeeshil looked ominously impressive as they downed Division Three champions Drumquin in the quarters and some say their name is on the cup.

Verdict: Killeeshil
