PADDY Tally has named his first Derry team for their league opener against Tyrone on Saturday in Omagh.
There are four changes from their All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to a the Kingdom last summer, who had Tally in the management team.
Gareth McKinless is on club duty, Chrissy McKaigue is retired, the injured Conor McCluskey and Eunan Mulholland are out.
There is a return for Anton Tohill, while Donncha Gilmore and Declan Cassidy come into the defence. Niall Toner comes in for Mulholland.
The Derry squad will come up against a Tyrone team managed by Malachy O’Rourke who will know the Oakleafers inside out from his time with Glen.
Both teams have the added caveat with a new set of rules for Saturday’s game at O’Neill’s Healey Park.
