Steelstown appoint new manager for the 2023 season

PADDY Campbell will take charge of Steelstown senior footballers for the 2023 season.

The former Donegal defender takes over from Hugh McGrath who stepped down after two years as manager that yielded Derry, Ulster and All-Ireland silverware.

His management team has yet to be finalised.

Campbell, who lives in Derry City, was a former player/manager of the Brian Ógs and has been involved with underage in the club.

He was captain of his native Naomh Conaill when they won their first Donegal senior title in 2005.

A NFL winner in 2007, he also won a Sigerson Cup with QUB.

After moving into management, Campbell was manager of Castledawson and Slaughtmanus.

He also had a stint as Derry minor manager and takes over with Steelstown back in senior football after winning the 2021 All-Ireland Intermediate title.
