BELLAGHY native Diarmuid Scullion has joined Dermot McCabe’s management team in Westmeath, Gaelic Life can confirm.
He will be involved in a coaching role alongside Mark McHugh as they face into the new season.
Scullion, who now lives in Scotstown, was involved with Derry underage development squads and coaching the All-Ireland minor winning team under Martin Boyle in 2021.
He has been coaching Scotstown and was part of Clonoe’s management under Damian Cassidy when they O’Rahillys landed the O’Neill Cup.
McCabe took over from outgoing manager Dessie Dolan who stepped down at the end of the season.
Their championship exit came at the hands of Derry after they’d won Division Three with a win over Down in the final.
