ARMAGH All-Ireland winner Aidan O’Rourke has been named as part of proposed Kildare manager Brian Flanagan’s management team.
Flanagan has been appointed a four-year term, set to be ratified at September’s meeting of Kildare County Board.
Flanagan guided the Kildare to Leinster and All-Ireland titles and will take over from Glen Ryan.
O’Rourke, Armagh’s minor manager, was assistant manager to Kieran McGeeney during his tenure in Kildare.
He also has experience with Louth, Down and Donegal. He joins Damien Hendy and Daryl Flynn in Flanagan’s management team.
Under his management, the Orchard County reached a first All-Ireland final since 2009, losing to Derry who also edged Armagh in the Ulster final.
