January London return for Uisce Chaoin

By Michael McMullan

ULSTER champions Naomh Pádraig Uisce Chaoin will return to London in January for their Twinning Final clash with British champions Tara.

The game was postponed after last week’s storm and will force a change to the schedule for the All-Ireland series.

The CCCC met on Monday to refix the game. While it is yet to be confirmed, the game is expected to take place on Sunday, January 5 in Ruislip, the same weekend the winners were due to face Cork side Kilmurray in the All-Ireland semi-final.

Uisce Chaoin backed up their first ever Donegal title with an Ulster campaign that culminated in a win over Craigbane in the final thanks to goals from Drew McKinney, Kevin Lynch and Caolan McColgan.

The Ulster Intermediate Championship final clash of Arva and Ballinderry was also postponed last weekend.

It has been refixed for Saturday in Omagh (5pm) with the winners going through to play Austin Stacks in the All-Ireland semi-final in January.
