OVER…Terry Hyland has called time on spell as manager of Cavan
TERRY Hyland has stepped down as manager of the Cavan senior footballers.
Hyland confirmed his decision on RTE radio this afternoon. He was appointed in the role in 2012 and took the Breffni county to the All-Ireland quarter-final in 2013. Hyland also secured Division One football for the county this year.
Hopes were high that they could build on that promotion in the Championship, but their season ended with a disappointing loss to Derry in the Qualifiers.
