THE county season has ticked into action with another season with the club game coming to a ckoase after another excellent year of intrigue.

Here is our selection from last weekend’s action involving Ulster teams.

1 ANNA CARR  Armagh

Made a number of superb saves to essentially keep her side in it – and Armagh took advantage.

2 MICHAEL MCKERNAN Tyrone

Running battle with Derry’s Ciaran McFaul but still got forward for 1-2 in Tyrone’s derby win.

3 MARK CRAIG Derry

Impressed in the hard-fought league opener against Tyrone.

4 JONATHAN TOYE Naomh Pádraig

Again showed very well in a tough day for his club at Croke Park.

5 PADRAIG HARAN St Patrick’s, Maghera

Got through a mountain of work in the low-scoring MacRory semi-final win over Armagh.

6 GARETH MCKINLESS Ballinderry

Gave his all in the heart-breaking All-Ireland final loss for the Shamrocks.

7 CADHLA-CARA BOGUE Fermanagh

On the scoresheet and set up scores in the easy win over Derry.

8 CONOR STEWART Antrim

Big showing in difficult conditions against Clare in Belfast.

9 EIMEAR FITZPATRICK Down

A real thorn in Limerick’s side as Down won impressively on the road.

10 ÉABHA SHERRY Monaghan

Scores were crucial in the low-scoring win over Roscommon.

11 OISIN CONATY Armagh

A tough day for Armagh but the Portadown man caused Galway massive problems once again.

12 OISIN DOHERTY Abbey Vocational

Really stood up to help his school book a MacRory final date.

13 TOM MCGRATTAN Down

Accuracy from play and frees helped earn a crucial victory over Kildare.

14 DAVID GARLAND Monaghan

Sharp as a tack in the entertaining win over Cavan at Kingspan Breffni.

15 NICOLE JONES Antrim

Helped herself to a brace of goals in the league success against Sligo.
