IT’S the first Team of the Week for 2025 as teams begin a new year with new ambitions and targets.

Here were some of the key players from across Ulster over the weekend.

1 CONALL McCANN St Patrick’s, Armagh

Two saves in the shoot-out sent Abbey crashing out after his 45 had sent the game to extra-time.

2 AIDAN MCCRORY Errigal Ciaran

The veteran stood up to the plate as Errigal secured a Croke Park date.

3 CIARAN QUINN Errigal Ciaran

A fine display on a famous day for the Red Hand club.

4 CIAN GAVIGAN Abbey VS

Starred in a backline that kept St Colman’s scoreless for a half in their MacRory win.

5 JONNY TOYE Naomh Pádraig

Won marks, scored a few frees and was generally excellent in the semi-final.

6 FERGAL O’BRIEN  St Mary’s

The Armagh man was his usual powerful self as they came back to earn a derby win over Queen’s.

7 DANNY MAGILL Ulster University

A livewire display as he grabbed five points against ATU Sligo.

8 CORMAC MCCOLGAN Naomh Pádraig

Made some really big plays as his side booked a Croke Park date.

9 BEN MCDONNELL Errigal Ciaran

His fine season continued with another top showing around the middle.

10 JOE OGUZ Errigal Ciaran

Really came into it as the game was in the balance and blasted home a crucial goal.

11 RUAIRI CANAVAN Errigal Ciaran

The best club player in Ireland this season? He can’t be far off after another wonderful showing.

12 KATIE MCCLOSKEY St Patrick’s, Maghera

Player of the Match as the Derry school defeated St Killian’s in the Ulster Senior Camogie final.

13 CAOLAN McCOLGAN Naomh Pádraig

Star of the show as the Donegal outfit dug it out to secure a famous All-Ireland semi-final win.

14 DARRAGH CANAVAN Errigal Ciaran

A magician, simple as that. Unbelievable stuff.

15 CONOR LOVE Fermanagh

A goal and a couple of points as Fermanagh claimed the Jimmy McGeough Cup against Louth.
