Gaelic Life team of the week

WE are now well into club season with all counties getting their leagues finalises in places with others getting to the championship action.

There was much action on over the weekend and here is our latest team of the week selection.

Here is our selection…

1 OISIN O’KANE Loughmacrory

Booming kick-out helped secure a couple of league points.

2 SEAN ÓG IRWIN Cullyhanna

Dominated at the back as Cullyhanna hammered Killeavy in their championship opener.

3 CONOR BOYLE Clontibret

Rock solid and scored two points as Killanny were held to four points.

4 CAOLAN TAGGART Portaferry

A regular in TOTW and back once again after a fine showing in the Down SHC against Ballycran.

5 BEN TAGGART Ballygalget

Excellent in ‘Galget’s high-scoring Down SHC win over Liatroim.

6 MICHAEL MCCONVILLE Clan na Gael

Got a goal but it was his overall display against Cross that merits inclusion.

7 JONNY CASSIDY Enniskillen Gaels

Caused havoc from deep as Enniskillen Gaels won the league title for the first time since 2001.

8 RYAN DEVINE Steelstown

He kicked three points as the Brian Ógs earned a vital win over Ballinascreen.

9 DAVID BRADY Ballyhaise

Fired over some nice points against Ramor – but his team were nabbed at the death.

10 SEANÁN CARR Four Masters

Hat-trick heroics helped see off Downings.

11 SHANE HEAVRON Magherafelt

Scored eight points, including the winner, and was involved in his side’s goal against Lavey.

12 PETER SMITH Crosserlough

Helped himself to a couple of goals in the comfortable win over Lavey.

13 JAMES O’CONNELL Ahoghill

Scored freely and played a part in the goal against Glenravel.

14 KADY MCNEILL Cushendall

Heavily involved in all that was good as the ‘Dall claimed an impressive draw with Loughgiel.

15 SHANE O’DONNELL St Eunan’s

Star showing as St Eunan’s claimed a statement win over Naomh Conaill.
