Gaelic Life team of the week

AFTER another weekend of action across all codes, here is our latest Gaelic Life Team of the Week.

Armagh and Cavan camogs’ seasons came to an end at the semi-final stage.

With the county season coming to a conclusion, club activity is beginning to warm up with leagues coming to a conclusion.

Here is our selection…

1 CIARRAI DEVLIN Armagh

Made a fine save from Laura Shinners but it wasn’t enough to prevent a semi-final exit against Tipp.

2 KEVIN MCGETTIGAN Naomh Conaill

Came up for two points in the comfortable Division One final win over Gaoth Dobhair.

3 JOSEPH FINNEGAN St Brigid’s

Really fine showing as St Brigid’s claimed their first Antrim Division One title.

4 DARA CURRAN Loughmacrory

Got a crucial 1-1 in the draw with Edendork.

5 PATRICK FEGAN Termon

One of the best players on the pitch as Termon secured a return to the top flight.

6 NIALL DEVLIN Coalisland

Unlucky with one rasper of a drive, but really impressive as Coalisland earned the derby spoils against Clonoe.

7 DONAL ROONEY Carryduff

Attacked at will as the Down side won a crucial Antrim League promotion/relegation play-off.

8 ODHRAN HOULAHAN Pearse Óg

All over the field and brought a touch of class as the Ogs went to Cruppen and defeated the hosts to secure the 2A title.

9 RYAN DONOGHUE Gowna

Excelled for Gowna in their Division One semi-final.

10 ROISIN O’KEEFE Cavan

Hit 1-3 as Cavan pushed Laois hard in their semi.

11 EMILY DRUSE Armagh

Not too many bright sparks for Armagh against Kerry, but Druse did cut out a lot of ball in the first half.

12 LEE BRENNAN Trillick

Sharp as a tack in the league game against Dromore.

13 GEMMA MCCAFFREY Kinawley

Hit 1-7 as her side claimed the Club Players League gold final against Belcoo.

14 JAMES SLEVIN Carrickmacross

Scored heavily as Carrick got the better of Monaghan Harps in their championship opener.

15 DONAGH MCALEENAN Warrenpoint

Scored heavily from frees and play in the league win in Castlewellan.
