Gaelic Life team of the week

AFTER another weekend of action across all codes, here is our latest Gaelic Life Team of the Week.

Armagh and Donegal have made it to the last four in the race for Sam Maguire while Derry made their exit.

There was camogie and ladies football action with some counties starting to focus on club action ahead of the championship.

Here is our selection…

1  BLAINE HUGHES Armagh

Near perfect on kick-outs and calm under the high ball as his fine form continued.

2 BARRY MCCAMBRIDGE Armagh

The noted man-marker got forward for a crucial 1-2 against Roscommon in a top display.

3 AARON MCKAY Armagh

Outstanding season continued at Croke Park. Right in the All-Star hunt.

4 EOIN MCEVOY Derry

Kept Sean O’Shea very quiet for the majority, but it was Kerry’s day.

5 PEADAR MOGAN Donegal

Lit up Croke Park was a sensational attacking display coming from deep. Didn’t neglect defensive duties.

6 RYAN MCHUGH Donegal

His return this season has been so crucial to Donegal’s progress. A fantastic player.

7 ERIN SANDS Down

Brought real energy to proceedings as Down advanced to the last four at the expense of Monaghan.

8 NIALL GRIMLEY Armagh

Some notable fetches around the middle as Armagh advanced.

9 MICHAEL LANGAN Donegal

Another fine display against Louth. Has to be within All-Star range now.

Caused Clare consistent problems as the Red Hands booked a semi-final berth.

Hit 2-10 as Antrim nearly pulled off a sensational comeback against Limerick.

A crucial 1-3 against Wicklow as Tyrone made it to the quarters.
