IT was another busy weekend for teams across Ulster.

Donegal and Fermanagh hurlers were the toast of Croke Park with Derry coming up short against Kildare.

There was another successful weekend for Ulster in the Tailteann Cup.

On the Sam Maguire front, the story was Armagh’s ruthless display against Derry at Celtic Park

The stand-out player on show as Down opened their All-Ireland campaign with a win in Cavan.

A thorn in Laois’ side as the Erne County topped the group.

12 JOHN MULLAN Derry

Scored freely against Kildare, but the Oakleaf County still lost out in the Christy Ring Cup final.

13 DANNY CULLEN Donegal

A real leader’s performance as Donegal ruled at Croke Park.
