Gaelic Life team of the week

AFTER another weekend of action across all codes, here is our latest Gaelic Life Team of the Week.

There was penalty drama for Tyrone u-20s, Derry and Donegal minors booked semi-final spots.

Down hurlers were involved in pulsating draw with Westmeath in Ballycran and there was a host of underage ladies finals.

Here is our selection…

1  CONOR McANENEY Tyrone

The Tyrone ‘keeper was their hero with three saves to win the Ulster u-20 title.

2 DOMINIC MCPARLAND Ballymacnab

When the ‘Nab were under the pump against Mullaghbawn, he closed the door on several goal chances.

3 SHANE DELARGY Portglenone

A rock in defence as the Casements pulled off a stunning comeback against St Gall’s.

4 FIONN McELDOWNEY Derry

The Oaks were close to upsetting the odds in the u-20 final and McEldowney was again one of their key men.

5 DANIEL MADDEN Kilrea

The Pearses are flying high and three points from Madden helped them to victory over Steelstown.

6 TIERNAN McGEOUGH Monaghan

The Monaghan defender drove his side on despite defeat in Donegal.

7 EIMEAR FITZPATRICK  Down

The Burren star was back among the goals as Down shot themselves to the Ulster final.

8 AOIBHINN McHUGH Tyrone

Her starring role wasn’t enough to stop Monaghan on Sunday

9 RYAN MCCUSKER Dromore

A key player in Dromore’s win over Trillick in the Jim Devlin Cup.

10 EAMON YOUNG Derry

Raced through to score a wonder goal in a fine outing against Armagh.

11 EABH SHERRY Monaghan

The Farney advanced to an Ulster final thanks to Sherry’s 2-1 salvo.

12 EDDIE WALSH Killanny

His hot scoring form continued as Killanny earned an excellent win over Clontibret.

13 COLM Ó DOCHARTAIGH Donegal

Donegal minors booked their semi-final spot with help fom a fine Ó Dochartaigh performance.

14 TIM PRENTER Down

Bagged 3-2 as Down drew with Westmeath in the Joe McDonagh Cup.

15 ERIN STEWART Antrim

A dozen points helped Antrim retain their Ulster title.
