AFTER another weekend of championship action, here is the latest Gaelic Life team of the week…
1 RORY BEGGAN Scotstown
Hugely influential again, particularly in the first half, although Trillick had more success shutting him down after the break.
2 ADAM HEASLIP Ballyhaise
His goal-saving intervention in the 41st minute probably saved his side from Ulster elimination as Glenullin were well on top at that stage.
3 AJ GALLAGHER Naomh Conaill
Switched between defence and attack constantly and won the penalty, albeit a soft call.
4 JAMES MORRIS Arva
Really helped quell the Blackhill threat in their Ulster Junior decider.
5 SEAN CONNELL Cullyhanna
One of the side’s better defenders as they shut down a talented Liatroim attack.
6 RORY BRENNAN Trillick
Massive game once again as Trillick pushed Scotstown all the way.
7 KIERAN HUGHES Scotstown
Named at full-forward but played much deeper. Had his usual magic moments, but his work-rate and defensive work was top notch too.
8 MICHEÁL MCCARVILLE Scotstown
Having an Ulster campaign to remember.
9 CONOR GLASS Glen
His defensive work is phenomenal. Outstanding in the opening period.
10 CIARAN THOMPSON Naomh Conaill
Another monster performance from Thompson, but it wasn’t to be.
11 SEANIE O’DONNELL Trillick
Took his goal superbly and generally was a livewire.
12 CIARAN BRADY Arva
A magnificent captain’s display as Arva saw off Blackhill in the Ulster final.
13 EOIN BRADLEY Glenullin
Did all he could to drag Glenullin to the Ulster final, but they came up just short.
14 AIDAN NUGENT Cullyhanna
The Armagh joint-captain starred as Cullyhanna made light work of Liatroim.
15 CONLETH MCGUCKIAN Glen
The man who initially broke Naomh Conaill’s early resistance with a couple of fine scores. Impressed to the end.
