THERE will be four Ulster teams in Monday morning’s All-Ireland draw after Monaghan’s 1-11 to 0-13 win over Kildare on Saturday.
Conor McCarthy’s late winner was the key score in a game the Farney men battled back in.
Tyrone also secured their place in the quarter-finals with a Darragh Canavan-inspired performance to see off Donegal – 1-018 t0 0-13 in Ballybofey after this younger brother Ruairi hit the net early on.
The four group winners from the group stages will be kept apart with the winners of Mayo and Galway joining Monaghan, Cork and Tyrone in pot two.
Pot 1: Armagh, Derry, Dublin, Kerry
Pot 2: Cork, Monaghan, Tyrone, Galway/Mayo
There cannot be any repeat pairings from the group stages with all four quarter-finals set for Croke Park next weekend, July 1/2.
