Former Derry star Lynn joins Portglenone

By Michael McMullan

FORMER Derry player Enda Lynn has joined Antrim league champions Portglenone.

Lynn, a native of neighbouring Greenlough across the Bann in County Derry, had transferred to London club Round Towers last season and lined out for the London county team.

He has been joined by former Greenlough goalkeeper Kevin Mullan who had also played for Round Towers and London.

The duo will be a boost to John McKeever’s squad as they aim to build their league form into a championship challenge after knocking on the door in recent seasons.

It follows on from Oran, Shea, Enda, Calum and Matthew Downey transferring from Lavey to Belfast side St Brigid’s last season.

Shea and his cousin Matthew are currently on the Derry senior squad with his older brother Oran part of Andy McEntee’s Antrim setup.

All-Ireland champions Glen’s forward Danny Tallon has joined Melbourne club Wolfe Tones after taking the decision to go travelling at the end of their historic season.
