TWO previous winners of the competition – Burren and Dungiven – go head to head on Sunday for a place in the final of this year’s Ulster Minor Football Tournament in Belfast.
Dungiven were winners in 1990 and Emmett McKeever from that team is joint manager with Darrell O’Kane’s this season.
With Odhran Murphy to the fore, the Derry champions saw off a Ramor United side littered with Cavan county minors.
Burren were winners in 2016 and were 3-12 to 0-9 winners over St Brigid’s with two Oisin McStay goals giving them a dream start.
Seanan Carr hit a wonder goal as Four Masters saw off Irvinestown in the preliminary round and they face Clan na Gael on Saturday.
Donaghmore, who backboned Tyrone’s Ulster minor winning team of 2022, take on Scotstown this weekend.
