“Erinn is as mad as a hatter at times but she’s a pharmacist and a good one”

THIS week we look at Rosie Crowe McKeever as she lifts the lid on some of her teammates…

Teams played for: Cavan ladies football and camogie, Lacken ladies football and camogie club. Irish international shinty team, Ulster football and camogie teams.

Which team mate has been the most inspirational and why? Growing up, I was inspired by my sister Miranda, she just always gave it everything and I strived to achieve what she had. I also loved watching Juliet Murphy of Cork ladies, I always loved her style of play as I played very like her.

Best team mate to train with and why? There have been so many over the years, but Erinn Galligan and Josephine Maguire have got me through this year’s pre-season runs.

Worst to train with and why: I couldn’t really pick anyone, but Clodagh Keenaghan, on the current Cavan camogie panel with me, isn’t a fan of the auld hard runs at the moment.

Which team mate do you want to mark and why? In the early years I always had to mark Donna English as we both played midfield with Cavan ladies. I wanted to mark her because I knew she’d get the best out of me as she was always so determined, I knew marking her I can only get better. Currently want to mark Shanise Fitzsimons as I know I have to be at the top of my game.

Who do you dread marking and why? I’d dread marking Donna but in a good way if that makes sense. Currently I dread marking Erinn Galligan, while Shanise Fitzsimons is so strong and tough. I wouldn’t like to take on Niamh Mc from the Lacken ladies either.

Who is the best to sit beside in journeys away?  Josephine Maguire is great for the gossip. Probably myself because I always feel sick, so I’m the worst passenger.

GOOD CRAIC…Erinn Galligan has brains to burn but also knows how to party

What’s the funniest thing you’ve heard in training or in a match, and who said it? ‘Awh Jesus stay on your bloody feet will ya’, said by Erinn Galligan

What’s the worst excuse you’ve heard to get out of training? There’s a lot in recent years that make me wonder – ‘I’m getting my tan done’, young ones these days…

Which team mate is the loudest in the changing room? Jenny O’Rourke.

Which team mate is the most sensible? Aideen Coyle, horridly sensible.

Who is the smartest of all your team mates? Have to give it to Erinn Galligan she’s as mad as a hatter by times but she’s a pharmacist and a good one.

Who’s the best team mate to celebrate with? My sister Aine loves a night out, but sorry Erinn, I also have to pick you again.
