IT was a mixed evening for Luke Donnelly as Queen’s were beatan by UCC on penalties in Abbotstown.

The Tyrone player bagged three goals in the final quauarter of normal time in a 3-6 to 0-15 draw.

Extra time couldn’t seperate the teams and it went to shoot-out with Donnelly seeing his final penalty saved by Dylan Foley.

University College Dublin 7-8 Ulster University 3-10

ULSTER University shipped seven goals in as UCD handed them a hammering on home turf at the Jordasntown Sports Village.

Three goals from Monaghan’s David Garland – with two after half-time to kill the game – did the damage wuith goalkeeper Odhran Lynch’s allowing a Garland 45 to slip through his hands for another goal.

UCD hit the front early with a Daire Cregg goal but Conor Cush’s penalty put the home side ahead.

Cregg beat Lynch at the near post for UCD’s second goal on the way to a 4-3 to 2-5 interval, with Ryan Jones’ goal offering the home side.

Garland hammered the door in their face with two goals in a minute on the way to a facile victory.
