DERRY’S progress in the All-Ireland series has been dealt a blow with the news of an injury to Paudi McGrogan.
The Newbridge man, a former Derry minor captain, picked up a knee injury at training during the week and could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
McGrogan, who has only missed one game since the start of Rory Gallagher’s tenure, has been a central cog in Derry’s plans.
Derry will find out their fate in the All-Ireland series at Tuesday afternoon’s draw when they are seeded in third place.
The new of McGrogan’s injury comes after the new of Cavan ace Paddy Lynch damaging his cruciate during the week at club training.
