ALAN Davidson scored two goals during an in-house game for Down last night.
The Bredagh man scored both goals late in the game and generally looked sharp throughout.
A number of players were drafted in for the match and it remains to be seen if Eamonn Burns calls him into the panel for their Qualifier game with Longford next weekend.
Davidson had been training with the Antrim panel recently, but could yet be part of the Mourne county panel this year.
Davidson gave up a promising Irish League career to focus on the GAA last January. He had been with Ballymena United at the time and asked the club to donate his last month’s wages to a charity of their choice.
