Cushendall open their defence against Rossa

ANTRIM and Ulster champions Cushendall open the defence of their titles against Rossa this weekend.

Brian Delargy’s side added the league title this season but switch to championship mode on Sunday afternoon in Belfast.

Also in Group 2, Dunloy entertain St John’s on Sunday evening and have been buoyed by their recent u-20  success.

Loughgiel are in action away to Naomh Éanna on Sunday while Ballycastle have a bye after Creggan’s withdrawal from the championship.

The format is the same as last season. The top team in each section will advance to the semi-finals with the teams in second and third playing off in two quarter-finals to see who joins them.

Group 1
Sunday 2pm – Naomh Éanna v Loughgiel
Ballycastle bye

Group 2
Saturday 7pm – Dunloy v St John’s
Sunday 4pm – Rossa v Cushendall
