A JUDICIAL review against the redevelopment of Casement Park has been rejected this morning (Tuesday).
The decision means that planning permission for a proposed 34,578 capacity stadium at the Andersontown venue has been upheld.
A judicial review had been brought by the Mooreland and Owenvarragh Residents Association (MORA), expressing concerns about traffic and noise issues among other factors.
However, it has emerged this morning that the legal challenge has failed, in a major boost to Ulster GAA’s plans to redevelop Casement Park.
The decision means that the green light has effectivly been given to build the new stadium, but there are still other issues to be dealt with in the interim including a shortfall in funding.
