Antrim duo on hurling All-Star shortlist

PADDY Burke and James McNaughton have been shortlisted in the 45 hurlers for this season’s PwC All-Star team.

All-Ireland champions Clare lead the way with 14 players with 10 from beaten finalists Cork.

McNaughton and Burke sit out club championship action as Cushendall and Loughgiel await the winners of this weekend’s Antrim SHC quarter-finals.

They starred in the Saffron jersey this season and the news will be a boost as new manager Davy Fitzgerald sets about finalising a squad for next season.
