THE race to get hands on the Sam Maguire Cup will heat up this weekend after Monday morning’s quarter-final draw.
All three Ulster teams have been kept apart with champions Dublin up against Galway in the last eight.
There is a repeat of last year’s semi-final of Derry and Kerry while Ulster champions Donegal take on Louth. Armagh will take on Roscommon.
It follows a dramatic weekend that saw Conor Doherty’s penalty book Derry’s spot after a penalty shootout win over Mayo in Castlebar.
Louth had a first championship win over Cork for the first time since the 1957 All-Ireland final thanks to Sam Mulroy’s late free in Inniskeen.
Tyrone were knocked out when Roscommon earned a first ever championship win over the Red Hands.
Monaghan were beaten by Galway on a day when Barry McBennett’s rasper off the crossbar was a key moment in a tight battle.
