All-Ireland champions backing appeal to support former player

ALL-IRELAND IFC champions Steelstown are backing an online appeal to raise money for former player Patrick Brennan after his accident in America.

“Our friend Patrick Brennan was seriously injured in an accident in Los Angeles. We would like to gather some support for Paddy‘s family, Mary, Maurice, John, James, Maeve and Michael as they manage his road to recovery,” outlined the story on the crowdfunding page.

All donations will go to the family to support travel, accommodation, medical bills and recovery support over the coming months.

Steelstown were crowned Gaelic Life Club of the Year after their memorable season that saw their ladies retain their Derry title and came agonisingly close to winning the Ulster.

The senior men won a first county championship and backed it up with a journey that saw them end their season as All-Ireland champions.
