ST Colman’s College Newry were winners of the Ulster Schools’ D’Alton Cup with a 1-7 to 1-6 win over St Patrick’s Armagh 1-7 to 1-6 in Páirc Esler on Thursday.
In this, the school’s bicentennial year, ‘The College’ had two former D’Alton winning captains in their management team.
Ciarán Bagnall was the winning captain in 2017 with Rónán McMahon lifting the coveted silverware after their 1997 success. Both are pictured below with current skipper Dallan McGeogh.
It comes in a week when Down were winners over Donegal in the Ulster Senior Championship and the county’s u-20 were crowned Ulster champions.
