THE 2023 Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup draw was made on Tuesday night in Cookstown’s Glenavon Hotel.
Champions Monaghan, under new manager Vinny Corey are grouped with last year’s runners up Donegal and Down who have Paddy Carr and Conor Laverty respectively in charge for the first time.
Ulster champions Derry will face neighbours Tyrone and Fermanagh who they meet in the championship.
In a change this year, the groups were seeded to have the four Division One teams spread out as much as possible.
Group A: Monaghan, Down, Donegal
Group B: Tyrone, Fermanagh, Derry
Group C: Armagh, Cavan, Antrim
All nine counties will be placed in three groups of three, with one home and away game each.
The top team – and the best runner up – will advance to the semi-finals.
