Weekend Club Round-Up: Swatragh down Slaughtneil in Derry League

Swatragh continued their rich vein of league form in Derry with a one point win away at Slaughtneil. 

The ‘Swa’ notched up a tally of 3-12 which was enough to squeeze past the former Ulster kingpins.

Elsewhere, Lavey beat current County Champions, Coleraine while Glen hammered Bellaghy and Dungiven beat neighbours, Banagher in a bottom of the table clash.

In Tyrone, the senior league games took place on Friday this week with the rare local derby of Omagh and Tattyreagh taking place.

Omagh, St.Enda’s would edge their nearest and dearest by the minimum while Ardboe overcame Eglish in similar fashion.

In other results, Killyclogher claimed full points away to Carrickmore, Dromore won at home to Moy, Coalisland won away at Donaghmore, Errigal Ciaran hammered Derrylaughan, Dungannon won away at Edendork while, Trillick picked up a notable win at home to Clonoe.

In Donegal, Ulster Champions, Gaoth Dobhair picked up both points away at Glenswilly in the pick of the action.

Elsewhere, Kilcar, St.Eunan’s and Naomh Conaill picked up valuable league wins.

In Down, Ballyholland claimed victory at home to Mickey Moran’s Kilcoo in the result of the weekend while, Downpatrick, Clonduff, Byransford and Burren all claimed victories.

In Antrim, there were wins for Cargin, Portglenone, Naomh Eoin, Gort na Móna while Naomh Gall and Naomh Bríd played out a draw.

In Monaghan, Clontibret’s victory over Scotstown was the main talking point while Carrickmacross, Doohamlet, Ballybay and Truagh took bragging rights.

In Armagh, current county champions, Crossmaglen overcame Kileavy while Dromintee, Armagh Harps and Cullyhana reigned victorious.

In Cavan, Cootehill beat Cavan Gaels at home while there were wins for; Gowna, Ballinagh, Ramor United, Castlerahan while Kingscourt Stars and Mullahoran played to a draw.

In Fermanagh, Derrygonnelly, Enniskillen, Roslea, and Devinish all claimed two league points.
