Ulster double delight for Tyrone in Maghera

Tyrone have claimed the Jim McGuigan Cup by seeing off Monaghan, after extra-time in a windy Maghera.

The Farney men led 1-6 to 0-4 at the break after playing with the aid of a strong breeze.

Daniel Fullerton netted for Tyrone before the Michael McGleenan put the Red Hands into the lead before a point from send the game to extra-time.

Colin Holmes’ men would outscore their opponents 0-10 to 0-3 in the extra twenty minutes to claim the title.

Meanwhile, the Tyrone u’16 team made it an Ulster double for the Red Hands as Shea Quinn, Shea Lawn and Dan Muldoon from the penalty spot netted goals.

The final score would read 3-11 to 0-5 as Tyrone claimed the Buncrana Cup shield at the expense of Monaghan.
