Tyrone will now meet holders, Derry in an Ulster u’20 final that is sure to whet the appetite.

The Red Hands took an early four points to no score lead after scores from Liam Gray, Séan Óg McAleer and two from Darragh Canavan.

There was 22 minutes on the clock when Patrick Lynch opened the Cavan account as Tyrone lost Oran Mallon to a black card.

Captain Ruairi Gormley steadied the ship for the men in white and red before Philip Rogers and Séan Óg McAleer traded efforts.

It was Paul Devlin’s men that led at the break on a scoreline of 0-6 to 0-2.

Lynch and Canavan traded points early in the second half before the Breffni men hit two in response with Cormac O’Reilly complimenting Lynch’s earlier effort.

The Tyrone bench would begin to make its mark through a double from Michael Conroy after Ethan Jordan’s earlier effort from out on the left side line.

Substitute, Peter Óg McCartan continued the trend kicking two scores in order to trade blows with Cavan’s talisman, Lynch.

It would be the aforementioned Lynch that would come closest as the men in blue went in desperate search of a goal at the death.

His effort would cannon back off the crossbar and was met by the sound of the referee’s whistle to confirm a four point win for the Red Hand County.
