Dungiven have appointed Michael O’Kane as their senior football manager for the 2019 season.
O’Kane comes to the job with sizeable pedigree after keeping Swatragh in senior football this year against all odds with five teams being relegated as part of restructuring in the Derry league’s.
The Glenullin native overseen Claudy’s promotion to senior football before keeping the North Derry club in the division for two year’s, winning the Dr Kerlin Cup along the way before moving on.
It is believed that O’Kane will be ratified tonight by the St.Canice’s committee and will be tasked with leading the club back to the top of Derry football with their last senior title coming in 1997.
