It took a last gasp free from Rory Beggan to rescue victory from the jaws of defeat as Scotstown scored the last five points to beat Coleraine.
Conor McCarthy and Ciaran Mullan hit early goals for their sides as Gavin McWilliams kicked the Derry men into a 1-7 to 1-6 lead at the break.
Ruairi Mooney rattled the net early in the second half as Eoghan Rua raced into a four point lead before being dealt a colossal blow as midfielder Niall Holly was forced off with an injury.
McWilliams would strike the crossbar going for goal before Kieran Hughes grabbed a score at the other end.
Damian McArdle levelled in the five minutes of additional time before Rory Beggan nailed a free with the last action of the game to send his men back to the Ulster final.
Next up for the Farney champions is an Ulster final pairing with Gaoth Dobhair who easily disposed of Crossmaglen in their last four encounter
