Donegal setup ‘do or die’ clash with Mayo while influential defender remains sidelined

Donegal will travel to Castlebar on Sunday week for a do or die clash with Mayo in the final round of the Super 8s.

The Tir Chonaill will be without the services of influential defender, Eoghan Ban Gallagher for the MacHale Park clash and for the remainder of the season.

Declan Bonner’s men played out a draw with Munster champions, Kerry on Sunday in Croke Park as a last gasp Michael Murphy free restored parity in a game that could have swung either way.

Murphy as influential as ever rattled home 1-7 while Mayo overcame Meath with a late flurry in the curtain raiser.

Eoghan Ban Gallagher will be a huge miss for the Ulster Champions while it is not yet known if he will be fit for the beginning of the club championship after breaking his ankle.
