Castleblayney march into All-Ireland final while St Gall’s fall short

Castleblayney will meet Kilkenny champions Dunnamaggin after seeing off the challenge of Carrick in the last four.

Hugh Bryne’s second half penalty proved crucial as the Farney men held on for the famous victory despite the Leitrim side hitting the final two scores of the game as ‘Blayney claimed a 1-8 to 0-10 win.

Their opponents will come in the form of Kilkenny champions Dunnamaggin who edged out Cork winners, Cloughduv after extra time.

The AIB All Ireland Junior Club Hurling Final is scheduled for Sunday February 10th in Croke Park.

Two late goals from St Gall’s proved to be mere consolations as a Niall Burke and Gearóid McInerney inspired Oranmore-Maree claimed a six-point win.

Burke hit 0-11 as the Galway champions played the majority of the game with 14 men after Alan Bannon saw red.

CJ McGourty finished with 1-3 and kept his side in the game in the game over the course of the hour, while Antoin McCaffrey grabbed the second major.
