Ulster Senior Hurling Final 2018
From Odhrán Crumley at the Athletic Grounds
Cushendall have picked up their 11th Ulster club title with an eight point win over a resurgent Ballycran side in the Athletic Grounds.
The early stages where nip and tuck with Neil McManus as ever shining brightest for the Antrim men before Sean McAfee’s goal ensured that Cushendall led by eight at the break.
Ballycran would cut the gap to five in the second half but were unable to get any closer and were left to rue a series of wides.
Eamon Gillan’s men would lose Aaron Graffin to injury but had enough in their locker to hold out for a record 11th title before moving onto the All-Ireland series with the winners of the Galway final laying in wait.
