With just one game with Ulster Involvement on Sunday, it meant that those teams with a heavy Donegal presence had the advantage at the weekend.
There were no late, all-Donegal entries, though ahead of week eight, as it was a team entered at the start of the competition that triumphed.
The Gaelofanad team scored 55 points, six ahead of the Donegal exiles.
