Down’s Niall Madine

Niall Madine has left the Mourne county squad, so the midfielder is unavailable for selection in the championship. Likewise, scoring forward Caolan Mooney has departed the league squad.

Full forward Arthur McConville is also out of action for this year’s championship. The Mourne county are  unlikely to garner much interest from Fantasy managers for this Championship competition owing to their dismal performance in the league when they were relegated out of division one.

There was just one player who registered in last week’s fantasy stats analysis from the NFL competition, and that was goalkeeper Michael Cunningham who scored 36 fantasy points, and was the sixth highest scorer.

Be aware that three players are named active, but may have limited impact. Jerome Johnston and Ryan Johnston, two potential star forwards have had surgery on dislocated shoulders in March and are not expected to play on June 5. But they may play some part in the later stages.

Benny McArdle is also down as active, though he spent the start of the year recovering from an Achilles injury.
