Donegal were bested in pretty much every area of their National League semi-final against Dublin.
The Dubs racked up 1-20, they won midfield, and their defence was well organised.
Donegal played a relatively strong team. Murphy, McBrearty, the McGees, Ryan McHugh, Kavanagh, MacNiallias and McGlynn were all present. Karl Lacey even got a start having had an extended break at the start of the year.
But they weren’t able to match the Dubs who were relentless. They had ten scorers in all, compared to Donegal’s three.
Social Media reckoned that that Donegal have serious work to do, and that they need to get Neil Gallagher on the field sooner rather than later.
However, while the Dubs were buzzing after their win, there were some who felt that Jim Gavin’s side’s ultra defensive tactics were hard to watch.

Soloing the ball absolutely cracks me up in football. Awful to watch. Dublin falling into that trap as well as the rest now.

Midfield, giving up soft turnovers and lack of cutting edge in attack recurring problems for Donegal in League.
