Coaches must be curious in order to stay sharp.
That’s the opinion of John Morrison, who says in his column this week that the best coaches continue to learn.
Morrison gives us nine simple ways to think to help us maintain our curiousity for the game.
One of those is: ‘Don’t be the smartest person in the room’
He said: “The more experience and higher position you have the more difficulty you’ll face.
“It’s your mindset.
“If you think you’re the smartest person in the room, you won’t learn. Tell your players you don’t know everything.
“Tell them all or some have better ideas than you and all need to hear them.
“So listen to others and learn more.”
