Toughest training session you’ve ever been involved in?

A pre-season training in December 2017 after a three-week lads’ holiday in the States. Luckily Karl O’Connell had my back that night for moral support. I owe him one.

What’s your preferred brand of gear?

I’ve gone off Adidas since they won’t bring back the original Predator Manias so I’d have to say Nike & Gaelic Performance.

Hid David Kirk’s kicking tee down my shorts during a championship game once, he spent two kickouts running around the goals looking for it, and scuffed both of them without it!

What’s the worst excuse you’ve heard to get out of training and who did it come from?

This is genuine. Darren Daly – Fell asleep on the tanbeds in Dundalk and got sunburnt.

Biggest ego?

Kieran Hughes would have been in his hay day but he’s a well-settled man now, cheers Claire.

Worst/best person to sit next to on the team bus?

Ryan Wylie, on the dating apps 24/7. Although strong rumours circulating that he’s been tamed.

Worst/best person to share a room with on away days?

I’d usually pack the Playstation for away trips. Some men love it, others not so much. Vinnie Corey wasn’t a big fan of Fortnite believe it or not.

The fact that there is so many games played on Sundays. Club games, in particular, should all be played on a Fridays & Saturdays only.

The social element after games.
